No accounts, no analytics.
The app has no user accounts and gathers no usage data. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, device identifiers, or behaviour. There are no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs anywhere in the app.
Umbrella Weather is built to respect your privacy. We do not collect, store, sell, or share your personal information, and we use no advertising and no tracking of any kind.

If you allow location access, the app uses your device's approximate location solely to show your local forecast. Your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo, our weather-data provider, to retrieve the forecast for that area. No identifier is attached, the request travels over a secure connection, and Umbrella Weather never stores your location.
Location is used only while you are using the app. You may deny or revoke access at any time in your device settings and search for a city manually instead.
Rain alerts are scheduled and delivered as local notifications on your device. They are not sent from a server and involve no personal data leaving your phone. You can turn them off any time, from the app or in device settings.
The only external service the app contacts is Open-Meteo, which supplies weather and place-search data; see its own terms at open-meteo.com. Place names for your current location are resolved on-device using Apple's built-in geocoding.
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete; your last viewed location and alert preference live only on your device. Umbrella Weather is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Should this policy change, we will update this page and revise the effective date above.
